Artist Insignia

I will imprint each of my pieces with my signature stamp whenever possible as long as the imprint, or manipulation of metal to provide space for the imprint is not distracting to the piece. This imprint is made with a hardened steel stamp which was custom formed from my handwritten initials. The initials "LB" appear on the stamp in script form and are 3/8" wide. The insignia is illustrated below: The end of the letter B extends down and around in a spiraling fashion below the two letters, indicative of the mathematical "golden mean" or the "increasing ratio" found in nature and applied to many works of art since the age of the Greeks. As Euclid believed, it is the "moderation of all things."
